Oklahoma City, OK (March 15, 2022) – “I am thrilled that my friend, Congresswoman Kendra Horn, has joined the race for the US Senate in this year’s special election to fill the seat occupied by retiring Senator Jim Inhofe. Congresswoman Horn’s entry into the race for Oklahoma’s other US Senate seat gives Oklahomans the ability to elect two qualified, smart, hard-working Oklahomans who live by the Oklahoma Standard to represent them in the US Senate. We have already been working hard for many months to lay the groundwork for success in our own race to unseat James Lankford, and I am excited to continue our work alongside Congresswoman Horn.

Having strong Democratic candidates at the top of our ticket is exciting for both our campaign and for Oklahomans. As we saw in Georgia in 2020, when corrupt politicians continually put their own self interests ahead of the needs of the people they serve, citizens—regardless of party—get fed up and pull together to bring about extraordinary results and change. We have a rare opportunity to replicate what happened in Georgia here in Oklahoma in November 2022, and the news today of Congresswoman Kendra Horn joining the race shows just how powerful that possibility is.”
